Exploring the pasture
Hey, thanks for the add.
I am back to a mini herd after retiring from city life. We ended upon a one acre lot in an AG zoned area so I am starting out with Sheep. We have an 2-3 year old ewe and a very young ram, maybe 4-6 months old. We are not sure of either breed nor ages as the Ewe was obtained by another backyard farmer (NOT associated with this forum), and the ram was a neighborhood tethered animal escapee that I caught. True ownership of the ram is unknown as it is not chipped or ear tagged. We have ads on the local animal forums, feed stores and animal control and we do not consider him as ours. We will give him up as soon as ownership is proven but until then will care for him as our own.
I will be adding goats (already purchased, waiting for weaning), pigs and rabbits. Looking forward to the help I need for these guys to have the best we can offer.
