I just got an almost 2 year old Nubian yesterday. She moans/moos not a strong naaaa. Maybe just her personality. Her temp is normal, 102. Yesterday when I got her I tied her out in the woods like the other goats. She did not tear into the leaves like the others did when I brought them home. She would not eat hay (coastal) or dairy goat pellets. I offered water immediately after our trip, she refused. I offer water hourly to them when they are tied out. I know how much they drink. She drank zero. The others will drink an entire bowlful at one time then refuse for a couple of rounds. She never accepted water. She had water in the pen last night, she may have had some but I don't know. She refused pellets again this morning. She follows me, gets up, tail is perky, just looks down or sad. Something is wrong. Maybe just homesick?
I'm off this morning to get goat electrolytes. Is there anything else I might need? Her nose looks wet/a bit runny maybe?
I know she should be quarantined but I don't have a setup for that at the moment. I really am wanting some fresh milk so started my herd with 2 'lings from the same place, one wether to keep the loneliest company and now this Nubian ready to breed.
