Welcome to the forum! So glad to have you!! We're raising our second round of feeder pigs. We raised Large Black/Berkshire pigs last year. This year we are raising Red Wattle pigs and a Hampshire for a neighbor. Pigs are easy to raise and the meat is soooooo much better than the tasteless "other white meat" cardboard crap that passes off as edible pork. You will enjoy your pigs! When we loaded the first pigs, we just backed the trailer in the pen, put up some wire to keep them away from it so they didn't chew the wiring and opened the end gate. I put their feed and water in the trailer and let them load themselves.
My Red Wattles are survivor pigs, I watched one straddle a sapling, walk it down, then they ate the leaves. LOL Pigs like greenery, vegetables and practically anything. We give ours boiled eggs for the Lysine, an essential nutrient for pigs, and because they go pig crazy and hog wild for them! We do NOT enter the field, but just lob the eggs over the fence.

I would have been a hog owner, but mine climbed out of the trailer recently during transport and flew away
