I'm sure this has been covered before. But I got my 2 year old Kinder goat blossom in mid March of this year the previous owner told me she was in with a buck in February but wasnt sure if she took since shes never kidded before. I've never owned a goat or been around goats so I have no clue what I'm looking for when it comes to figuring out if they're pregnant or not.. I've been reading up on them but I want opinions from you guys with using the pics of my goat.. i have her separated and she keeps rubbing her sides along the fence could you help me out here please thank you

Holy cow! She looks like she has multiple babes to me. However judging by her udder it will probably be some time until she kids. I dont have goats so im just basing these off previous observations. Best of luck with her and welcome to BYH!

I'm going to tag some people so they can chime in- @OneFineAcre , @Southern by choice ... Maybe they can tag some more too. I would say she looks pregnant and February would mean sometime this month. That's a pretty big window of possibility. You can feel the ligaments soften when she is ready to kid, but it isn't easy to know what to feel for unless someone shows you. You can Google "signs that a goat is about to kid" or some words like that and there will be helpful videos like this one-

Yeah that's why I'm panicking with her being due this month I've heard some dkny fully bag up till kidding time or right after they kid so I try and feel for ligaments shes pretty squishy around her tail I use to be able to find the pencil like things by her tail but now I dont but I just want to make sure she just not fat haha

Greetings and welcome to BYH. Yes, she definitely is pregnant. She has started developing an udder and could be within days or a couple weeks of delivery. IMHO she hasn't "dropped" yet and hollowed out indicating imminent birth, but goats can be so sneaky... If you do a search for "doe code" it explains it in detail.

Look for her to start having vaginal discharge. When it turns yellow and "ropey" it's a good indication she's close. When her vulva starts swelling and looking "angry", it's a good indication she's near. Most explain that the best way to tell is to check her tail ligaments. They are about pencil thick on either side of her tail. They are normally very hard and easily felt. When they get squishy and "disappear", she is generally within 12-24 hours of kidding. Though some say they can't lose the ligs then get them back (multiple times) there are numerous times this exact thing has been observed.

More to follow...

Look for her to get even more uncomfortable, start pawing out a divot in the ground to birth into, nesting behavior, separating herself from normal places and activities. I mean when she start acting abnormal, that's a good indicator...

Ok I'll keep my eye out on those behaviors.. today she would just stand in the corner with her rear end towards the corner she wouldnt lay down and shes a lazy goat shes always laying around bit not today then she'll go around rubbing her sides along the dance and then go back to standing in the corner....
