Yup and who doesn't like free. I got a bunch of walking onions from a lady on BYC and I am trying to get some of them turned over to others. I also decided that since I can only really eat the greens from them I would dehydrate some.
Why do you only eat the green parts? I often pull up one & add the whole thing to a pot of beans or soup or chili. I think the bulb tastes stronger, so only use about half of what I'd use from a white or yellow onion.

I did at one point only eat the greens but after tasting the turnips I know now that they taste good. I should have read your reply before commenting. I pulled some of my walking onions out and gave them to my youngest granddaughter and the bulbs looked like mush.

Yesterday I was able to get some cool weather crops planted. I'm going to try to get more planted but haven't been feeling too well. I believe it is just the COPD and nothing else. Will go to the doctor tomorrow and see about getting some meds.
