Contact Linda from Elk Leap Farm (you can find them on facebook), she seems to know everybody with goats in the area so even if she doesn't do stud service she'll know someone who does.

Elk Leap has Boer and Nubian so not sure if she would know Nigerian breeders but it can't hurt to ask.

I called the lady in charge of the goats at fair and she did mention Chris. Don't know if it would be a good idea or not because the breeder I got my doe from used Chris. Then again the doe is nice so maybe breeding her to her father wouldn't be a bad idea. Elk Leap farm might come in handy because I will be getting two meat goats next year. I will be getting two wethers and depending on how well that goes I will get two does.

Don't breed daughter to father. I would think Chris would have others you could breed to. Who is your does father?

I think Chris still has a male named Desperado. He would be a nice match. Plus if I recall correctly, he has blue eyes.

Yea, with mammals that close of linebreeding becomes detrimental quickly. It can with chickens too, but it is...easier? to cull out chickens with negatively expressed genes. A goat with an issue may not develop until later on, like after you've sold him or her. There are people who do some close linebreeding, but they then outcross to increase genetic diversity. It isn't unusual, for example, to see examples of linebreeding of goats with ARMCH Twin Creeks BH Baywatch ++*S 'E' in their lineage, since he was an amazing buck.

I don't know if you have found Chris's number yet or not but so far my friend hasn't gotten back to me. So if you know someone who has it, I would get it from them. Not sure if my friend even has her number.
