Shoulder/side of the chest and hip are areas I typically use for injections. I have had a few of my goats end up with bald spots from injections if they move and it gets into the skin instead of under it. Could these be injection sites?
Ahhh, good point! I forgot ivermec can burn wool on sheep so why not hair on goats.

I hope you let us know what you find out in the end. Good to learn new stuff. :D

Nope, I've not given her injections in those sites in the past. These spots just showed up spontaneously. The only other time she has had a problem with hair loss/bald spots, was on the top of her head after she kidded for the first time in February, but that came back almost immediately. I attributed it to hormone fluctuations after kidding. Her mother did the same thing a few weeks earlier when she kidded, at almost exactly the same time after delivery and in the same place and her hair grew back too. Puzzling, huh?

I put some Lotrimin powder on it, because that was all I had until I can get something else. We'll see what happens.

When its from the injection site does it make a red circle and feel kind of hard and crispy? My doe (it could be from the injection) has a spot and that's what it looks like.

Just an update, the spots cleared up and regrew hair after putting Seven-Dust on them once. I dusted their shelter too to be sure that there wasn't something infesting it. Must have been some sort of little parasite that wasn't visible to the naked eye. Could have been mites, but not sure if Seven-Dust will kill them or not, but at least it worked. Thanks for the help everyone!
