I am looking for a wether to house with my buck during the times he can't be in with the ladies. Someone on craigs list had a 3yr old (check), cashmere (check) wether. With horns... aaaand that's a no. What a shame I would have loved to get a cashmere but neither my buck nor any of my does have horns and I don't think it is a good idea to have just one in there with them.

I have a mixed horn flock. Some came with them, and others were disbudded. It's all about temperament. None of mine are aggressive with anyone, so the horns are a non-issue. Might be worth a shot.

I have one polled goat in with a herd of horned ones and she holds her own just fine.

Me too, and "Katie" has no problems. Straw hat brought some of his kiko girls into the ND field and "Katie" (ND) the only one with no horns took on SIS, a big girl. She did not like sis in with the ND's and she never backed down even when sis went at it with her. Katie isn't even the herd queen, but she is very protective of the new kid (her niece).

I have horned and polled goats. They all get together good. And the one group with a polled doe, she's the boss. She doesn't take crap from any of them. Just saying.
