Good morning,
Old hand at raising animals of all kinds, but a newbie to online forums. LOL
We have chickens, goats, horses, dogs and cats. We feed the deer, squirrels, rabbits and raccoons. Birds too!
The local wildlife comes running at feedtimes everday. Deer graze during the day in our pasture and orchard.
We are also the deer babysitters. The moms drop their young off in our horse pasture while they head to the neighbor's blackberry fields. LOL
We have sorta collected some of these animals. Evidently, most have been dropped off and abandoned and they seem to find their way to our farm. I don't have the heart to refuse them and wind up feeding them and providing shelter and safety for them. We live way back in the middle of nowhere on 45 acres, so it is amazing to me that they find us at all, yet they seem content to stay here.
Well, enough about us. The main thing is that we are suckers for lost, abandoned and abused animals.
