Chillin' with the herd
We feed twice a day, especially in the super cold time. Hay pellets twice a day with brome hay in the PM feeding so they stay warm. Feeding twice a day allows you to walk the pens and monitor each animal, catching issues before they are a problem rather than every few days or once a week when it can be a emergency. Besides it gets the animals used to you being around and being handled. Remember stuck heads, illness and injuries can't wait for you to walk thru at your convenience.
