Ran across this yesterday while looking for a standard flea powder for Jake. Very interesting. Diatomaceous Earth, made in the USA, which is a naturally occurring fine powder composed of crushed fossils. Used to destroy waxy cuter shell of fleas and ticks causing dehydration to the pests. Also it can be taking for internal pests like worms. This is for dogs and cats, but a light bulb went on and I thought Goats.

I would be interested in the opinion of the goat people. Also I'll let you know regarding the success with Jake. As well as the rabbits. This is also good for them. Can be used as a preventive measure. Also you can sprinkle this on your ground and never fear of toxin.

Just thought I would share.

Here's the link to the product. :)

I have been using that stuff for about 38 years with my horses... feed a tablespoonfull daily ... they poop it out... flys lay eggs on poop, hatch... maggots get sliced and diced... no more flies.

Thanks Bossroo for the feedback. Glad to hear that it actually works.

How about a shout out from others with smaller animals...goats, sheep, rabbits. This can be used internally. Like Bossroo does.

The folks we spoke with swear by it. :)

I used it externally for my chickens - it was added to their dust bath area. Still had to break out the poultry dust for lice.

Used it externally for fleas on dogs...didn't work.

Never used it internally.

use food grade Diatomaceous Earth when you use it, garden grade doesn't work as well, pennyroyal sprays work also be careful with pennyroyal, not for use on pregnant anything including human, it can cause miscarriages. but it works well in barns and such. good deterent for mosquitoes is a catnip spray, but the cats love it :D

1-2 ml catnip essential oil
8 oz rubbing alcohol
8 oz water
mis together in spray bottle
it is non toxic great for kids the alcohol evaporates
