So glad they are doing well, I checked a few times yesterday and no news, you had me a little worried. They have a good goat mommy; that can really help at times.
Now if the RAIN would just stop so they can get more exercise, fresh air, and sunshine. You'd think goats melt by the way they act. A few little drops and they scream bloody murder! My hubby and son, Jacob, used MY bath towel to dry them after they got a little damp Thursday. So funny. Jacob didn't think Mommy would mind! I guess I don't, really, it's just a hoot.
My nephew is getting married today, and they had to change the venue and time YESTERDAY. Suddenly Wed. it went from overcast(best you can expect around here lately) to rain with chance of thunderstorms. Their lovely venue near the river is risking more flood waters! All of this flooding is really something. They say nothing like this has happened here in a thousand years. I hope it doesn't happen again for another thousand. It's not easy to find an indoor venue for 175-200 guests that allows outside catering on 2 or 3 days notice. I'm sitting on my porch watching the rain pour for what seems like the 100th day in a row. I love rain, but the earth is saturated.
Today the boys are out basking in SUNSHINE. They aren't even eating as much as usual, they just keep stretching the faces toward the sun. We haven't seen much of it lately. It has rained and been overcast for the last 6 days, AGAIN, but today they are HAPPY boys.
We have been flooded out. UGH. NC fall
Sun is out but we will need 2 weeks of it to dry it all up.
Big sigh... it's all I can do
We have really been pounded since the end of September.
Everything needs cleaned, mucked, and re-mucked. LOL
It is always the best news to come onto BYH and find that the animal that was in distress is doing well. It is such a great place and so many people with experiences to share. Happy endings are certainly what we all want.
