Thank you everyone! Yes, @Mini Horses , he has been driving for 4 years.
A little about him and why he is such an impressive mover. He is a Dutch Harness Horse or KWPN. KWPN horses are what the top level FEI drivers use and the two famous dressage horses, Valegro and Glamourdale, are both KWPN horses.
They are bred for soundness, outstanding movement, and good temperaments. Stallions must pass a rigorous inspection for those traits. Lamborghini's dam came from in the Netherlands and was bred to a stallion there before being imported in foal, so he was born here, but is out of a famous Dutch stallion.
Here is a video of his sire, Dylano, at the main competition in the Netherlands. They are forbidden from using weighted shoes or any "aids" so that is their natural movement. You have to slow it down to half speed to really look at them move!
Note, this is not a carriage class, but it is these same lines that Boyd Exell uses in his team.
I knew I wanted a Dutch Harness Horse, but I did not expect to find one so special or so soon! I am glad it worked out for me to get him though. He is everything I wanted and more!
He is absolutely GORGEOUS!! I've never heard of Dutch Harness Horses - WOW -- learn something new every day. Dang - that movement, all natural!!! Holy cow - truly amazing. You're going to have a lot of great times with him. And LOVE the name!
This horse is just so incredible! I didn't think it possible that he could impress me so much, but he already has, even more than my beloved Arabs and that says a lot! Here he is playing in the field yesterday.
It has been awhile since I posted an update! Spring is finally here to stay and the horses are enjoying it! I have clipped a few, but with no shows scheduled, I have fallen a bit behind on that. Here are a few pictures though!
