Once we are in Texas, we hope to use our 5th wheel to do some traveling on the eastern and southern half of the US. Also would like to see the northern part of the US - Dakotas, Montana and revisit Utah. We won't go during lambing season, but DS1 will be at ranch to care for sheep at other times.

In other news, my driving projects are all coming along well!

And these are my personal driving horses for this year. If all goes well, they may be my entire herd as I focus on carriage driving full time!

Wow! Lots of fun ahead 😊
I think so! :D =D

How is the move going?
Slowly because we are still waiting on the right buyer here. The weather around the country has not helped. Perhaps spring will be better.

It did bring me to make an important decision though. It took a full year, but I finally did it. My focus is now completely on carriage driving and my hugely sucessful consignment/training program. I miss my breeding mares, but they all found the best homes. I could not ask for more so I am quite happy, even though it was a nearly impossible decision to make at the time. I am happiest driving though and now can look forward to a full year of showing at beautiful venues that have wonderfully supportive and welcoming groups of exhibitors, without having to worry about mares foaling or expend resources (aka $$ and time) to maintain them at home.

Amigo's first drive since last October!

One of my client, formerly consignment horses....first time in the carriage. Rather long story behind him but he started the popular consignment program last year.

A few fun photos from my latest trip to Saint Louis for the dentist. Part of my new goals is to travel more, but not necessarily always for the dentist lol, but I do love Saint Louis.

It's difficult to make decisions like that. In the end you'll be happier and more relaxed. Letting go of things that we've done for a long time and are good so we can focus on something else (that we're good at and love) is never easy. Think we've all been there one way or another.

Sometimes we have to try several things before settling on what is the best fit and what we love the most.

Beautiful pictures. Are yall considering Saint Louis?
And it's always good to try new things!
No, I wish. As much as we love it it's just not horse country.

Very very true @SageHill ! I am already loving having fewer personal horses and so is my feed bill. That does not mean there are fewer horses here as I have 10 stalls and only 3 are mine. There are even some out in the pasture. Between the consignment and training programs my waitlist is 2 months out, even if we move to Kentucky.

It's great that we didn't move right away as now I've seen that I can get along without the big horse boarders. We have been getting offers on our place here so heading up to Kentucky tomorrow to look at a few farms!
