Have you considered using DMSO?

And then there is the step-child media's black sheep (oh didn't intend the pun but heck - ivermectin !!)

I had an itchy spot on my instep, had been itchy for months. Nothing looked unusual, skin wasn't dry. After I received the DMSO I put a tiny dab on the itchy spot and rubbed it in. It felt warm but not uncomfortable. Within a day or two I noticed a small bump in the area, deep below the skin. Within a couple of days the bump/cyst/whatever was gone, dissipated I think. And no itch returned.

What was it? I think it was some cyst that rose and popped after I applied the DMSO.

Anecdotal, I know. But it's not the only example of positive uses of DMSO.

My only reservation with using DMSO is that it pulls everything on the skin into the bloodstream and I practically douse myself in Tigerbalm etc. in order to function Years ago I used to be a smoker and I wound up in ER after putting some on a bowed tendon due to nicotine residue on my fingers. I haven’t tried it since but perhaps it’s time to try again…

Did I miss something re: Ivermectin and RA? The articles didn’t seem to suggest it helped, although where it said hydroxychloriquine isn’t used-I have several friends with Lupus that are on it…and Iv def got us and my son over the cv in 3 days…anyone else?

There seem to be a bunch of articles on RA and iver. when search - short with statement like:
Ivermectin has significant antiarthritic properties and can be a novel treatment agent for the management of rheumatoid arthritis patients suffering from strongyloidiasis.

Looks like a possible avenue though not a lot on it - well not sure if blocked, or nothing or whatever.

If you click on listings in that first page, things expand. It's an immunomodulator and helps with controlling some issues that are autoimmune disease types. Doesn't let the immune system be as aggressive. My vet used to give it to one of his horses everyday for a health problem, nothing to do with worms believe its used in malaria situations. Needless to say -- safe and more than a dewormer!

I’m going to try these. I’ve just been so worn down by it lately, I’m hopeful one or both of these will help!
We went and picked up the new tub yesterday, and I’m anxious to see if the hot water and jets make a difference. Took Fen and left Boone home, as we wanted to go somewhere besides the Mexican place for dinner. He did better than last time although starting out he had ZERO heel or downstay. Idk how my husband effectively untrains dogs

It didn’t take too long for him to remember and come around, although he nearly pulled my off my feet the first time we got out of the truck. We went a few places looking for food only to find super long waits. Don’t go to Nampa, ID at 2 pm expecting to eat. We finally would up at Texas Roadhouse and they put us at a table instead of a booth. (It’s easier to tuck a dog under a booth.) He repositioned several times, and mugged for croutons but did better than I expected and definitely better than Boone in a restaurant.

He took every opportunity to sniff behind my left ear again. Idk if its a fetish or he’s sensing something but decided I don’t want to know.
Randy needed electrical stuff at Lowe’s for the installation and as usual, puttered slowly. Without Boone to hold me up, I wound up catching myself on the shelves which were thankfully well made, and let myself down to the floor for a bit. Fen stayed with me and was attentive (he usually isn’t).
Later the service lady offered him a cookie which he promptly spit out. I assured her he would probably eat it in the truck and asked him to give it to me. He refused…several times. I was surprised as I dropped my napkin at dinner, and accidentally knocked my glasses off the table and he happily picked them up (without complaining which is VERY unusual!) But he refused to give me his cookie. I dropped his leash, as I knew I could reach his neck to retrieve it. He handed it to me without being asked. I asked for the cookie again and he proceeded to grudgingly eat it instead, complaining loudly so everyone would know how put out he was.
He was obviously saving for later
He was a tad dog reactive, but I think I can help him through that. All in all, having not worked since last March, he did pretty well.
Boone was a little crazy when we got home and was so excited to see Fen (not me, but Fen) he bowled him over and ticked him off. After a long zoomie session they came in and Boone laid on the bed about half the night.
