Ha! 40ish yrs ago my male Belgian Tervuren did the same thing with our son. I went to grab said son before he could pound on the tv and his protector placed himself between him and me!
LOL - and our son took forever to learn to walk —— because he crawl over to the dog - Hurricane - babble something in his ear and the dog would stand up and son would grab on to his scruff and they’d wander off together. Yeah - kids and dogs

Kinda wiped out. Every morning and evening have culminated in fixing meals causing so much pain I can’t eat, and just go to bed instead. Once recovered, I clean the kitchen, although last night Randy did it for me
Either I am not making enough food, or they like my cooking because there are no leftovers to speak of. The oldest little, a boy of about 10 or 11, is the sweetest kid ever. He is always taking tender care of his little sisters. He said he loves sourdough anything (I made them sourdough waffles the first morning They scarfed those down!) So I baked 2 boules this morning. One for all of us, and one just for him.
I have tied Fen’s wooden crate shut as the littlest little doesn’t leave things alone when told and is dead set on busting the door.
I separated the rabbit area off with a 16’ cattle panel as she’s been dumping $35 a bag pellets all over the ground and bent up the wire in the growout cage climbing it to try and get to the rabbits. I might go to hell for entertaining myself by dreaming about hotwiring it. The other 3 are angels. She put the terrible in terrible twos I think

I ran out of my RA meds and am having a difficult time getting it. This hasn’t helped my situation any.
One more day and it will be back to just me and Boone, wondering how to get through another day. Even Cat 5 Kathryn will be looking good about then.

It’s so nice to see a daddy playing games with his littles.

I cracked up this morning because Caroline, (little #3) thought my name was Papa Randy. I laughed and told her “I’m not Papa Randy, HE’s Papa Randy! I’m the one who makes you dresses and stuff!”
She was absolutely amazed and said “Who ARE you?”

Yeah. One of ‘em anyway. She screamed loud enough to hear her out of state when I told her she isn’t allowed to climb on my dogs.
She’s bent on destroying anything we have, including the Echo show my son got me, Fen’s wooden crate that she cracked the door, the newly painted kitchen cupboards that are now chipped and did her best to break through the old steamer trunk aka coffee table but no one is gonna hurt my dogs. I don’t care who you are or how old, it ain’t happening.
And no, the parents do not teach them to respect other people or their things.
Guess there are worse things than lonely.

Hands & feet coming apart due to my RA meds still not here. A coma would be welcome right about now

Funny you should say that about your dogs. Just a few hours ago some of my students and I were talking and all said at about the same time, “Threaten my dog and your in deep $#*!” Yeah we all think alike. Sadly a lot of kids today are like that.

It is a major trigger for me. I can get pretty crazy, pretty fast when anything threatens my dogs or horses.
It’s also been challenging because my pain levels are just really out of whack and I have been expected to provide 3 large meals a day (remember that EVERYTHING we eat has to be made from scratch because of distance to a store and space is at a premium)
I also get to do ALL of the dishes, cleaning kitchen, sweeping all the food that is tossed around on the floors because the kids have never learned to stay in one place and eat. I can’t even imagine going to my parents’, friends or even my kids homes and treating them this way. They don’t lift a finger. They have their own cabin, but most of the kids’ clothes are strewn through our small house and large yard as they take stuff off and just drop it wherever which is a huge concern because of Boone’s penchant for grabbing and swallowing things like socks, etc.
I can’t say or do anything about it as it would upset Randy, who knew I was in serious pain after catering to them every meal as I was in tears at night, but then last night it got so bad that just as it was time to eat, I got terribly ill and spent half the night with a barf bucket as my best friend. He had to do dishes, fix breakfast this morning, clean up, etc. I think he sees now.
I’m in flare from hell and just found out the earliest they can get my RA meds to me is June 26th!! What the hell???
Anyway, so here I am dumping poison all over all of you.
I am so gritchy…

Hey we’re here, ya gotta be able to dump somewhere. Maybe now that Randy sees how tough it is it’s time to make the kiddies “work” at least a little. They need to be trained! Their parents obviously aren’t doing it.
Do this, get that. Eat dinner, put your plate in the sink you get desert. Of course easier said than done even for the best of us.
And yeah - our dogs/critters ARE a trigger for all of us. BECAUSE if nothing else we RESPECT them (and love them too).
June 26 for meds!!! Good Lord that is unconscionable. Sorry you’re going through all this esp at the same time. I really don’t have a clue how bad constant pain is, though I’ve seen friends in similar situations and not be able to get meds because the dr said wait.
