I needed another quick meal so I grabbed a couple jars of home, canned chicken broth, and some canned chicken.
Poured the broth in the pot cubed up a couple carrots and a couple potatoes, half an onion, some celery let it simmer till it was soft, meanwhile, I proofed some yeast, mixed the flour in, let it all rise, shaped it and put on French bread pan, dumped the chicken in the soup, melted some butter in the pan, dumped in some flour and some milk to make a roux, added a couple cups of cheddar cheese, melted it and dumped it all in my soup pot and as soon as the bread was done so was dinner.
It doesn’t get much easier than that!
The hard part was explained to my pard that it wasn’t for him, although he did enjoy the cheese tax
