That would be cool. Her dogs are everywhere. She has sold pups to Alaskans and ppl in Mass. she’s very discriminating about who gets one of her puppies. I am so fortunate she considered me worthy of one of her dogs ❤️

Got the alley cleared this morning so its safe to walk thru- I dk how I am gonna get the old broken chest freezer out from back there.
Once I can cut back the weeds coming into the yard so it’s easier to get wheelbarrow through, I can start hauling his dead weed piles and the wire etc he tossed back there. I wish there was 2 of me!
Fen must be in a growth spurt cuz he’s ALWAYS hungry. I don’t want him packing any weight on because he doesn’t have the greatest conformation in the rear and staying light will help him remain sound but I also don’t want him to be hungry. So pupsicles made of chicken broth and kongs with yogurt or sour cream and blueberries are on the menu. I’ll be glad when I can get him 100% raw

Hoping we can make it to town Thurs. we have 4 Dr appts between us but if his guts don’t get better we will have to reschedule.
Anyone got good home remedy for the hershey squirts?

Yes! Apple Cider Vinegar. I mix it half ACV and half honey. Put two fingers high in a glass, fill with cold water. Sip on it until gone. In 30 to 45 minutes the squirts will be gone. This works for food poisoning too, even when running at both ends. The ACV kills the bad bacteria, the honey is anti viral. The ACV doesn’t harm the beneficial gut bacteria.

Gotta make Randy baymule’s cure, feed critters then do as much weedeating as my back can handle. I would like to figure out how to get rid of all the mallow and hollyhock that have taken over the lawn and seed some pasture mix in there. I hate to use 2-4-D but I don’t know how else to get rid of it all…

Fenny and I had another good day. I put an e collar on him this morning because he had a little problem listening yesterday and wanted to chase calves and rush chicks. So he practiced his down-stay in the coop this morning while they ate leftovers I gave them. It’s set on vibrate, not shock. I had to buzz him about 3 times after which he listened really well. We did a LOT today. Almost as much as before I got sick! We cleaned the horse shelter, moved one of Randy’s big piles of weeds and started moving all the branches and rose prunings etc that have been piled up all summer into a burn pile in the garden. I let the horses in to graze after they had their supplements this morning because they were out of hay and he didn’t go get another bale with the loader until about 2:00.
We did a bunch of weedeating and made cucumber / sour cream stuff for tomorrow’s lunch and roasted a bunch of yellow squash for a side with tomorrow’s dinner, cleaned the kitchen again, which as everyone knows is never ending, and picked blackberries.
It’s hard to believe a year ago today I was still in a wheelchair.
I’d like to ride but he has to be able to saddle my horses for me. Maybe by next weekend.
For now, things are looking good. ☺️

ACV is a miracle worker. It will save you a trip to the emergency room. BJ and I were in Alabama one Thanksgiving visiting his mother when my phone rang. It was the office manager from work. Her brother in law was laying in the floor in the bathroom, violently throwing up and had diarrhea. She had heard me mention ACV, but couldn’t remember what I said.

She went to the store, came back and mixed up the ACV and honey. She gave him some, 30 minutes later he trudged off to bed and slept it off. She was about to take him to the emergency room, it was that bad. He had food poisoning.

I’m glad that it helped Randy!
