Here are some pictures I took this am of the inside of the goat barn.

Loafing area inside with hay manger DH built with plans from a goat magazine I picked up at TSC. See the goat with her head in a heated water bucket.

Looking back over the hay manger to the hay storage and room where I keep supplies. Note the little cabinet on the wall, salvaged from a remodel project of a friend. It was free, better be, she gets free eggs all the time from me!!

These goats are soooo nosy, they were outside but when the saw me with the camera, in they came. OHHHHH take MY PICTURE!, NOT HERS!!

Fabulous! The only thing I'd change are the keyhole feeders...I've heard a lot of horror stories from people who's goats got hurt pretty badly in those (they can't see other goat's coming, and can't get out fast enough when being butted).

Really, really nice! I'm sure you're pleased!! :thumbsup

]All my goats get along fine, EXCEPT FOR THIS ONE, THEY ALL HATE HER. I keep her in the stall by herself at night, so she can feed and the others can't get to her. She's been with them now for about 2 months. They accept her to a point, but don't want her in with them at night, so she's in the barn, but by herself. JEEZE, can't we just get along??

Thank you for posting the pics, I'm learning a lot. The keyhole feeders mentioned, I had to go back and really look, they are in the hay manger? which is the large wooden open topped thing, so the hay goes in at the top and the goats eat it out from the openings? Why do you do it that way? And it's straw on the floor? Also, in the milking room, is that a milking stand? So, the goats step up on that, and are their heads fastened in some way at the top? Did you build that yourself, or buy it somewhere. I really am new to this, so please, bear with me. Do the goats mind being up on that? Do you sit on a stool to milk them? Enquiring minds, eh? Thanks.
