How big is a full grown AGH? Height/weight. I had questions on whether or not she is a pot/agh cross.

I do have AGH's, but I'm no pig expert. I really don't have any ideas except maybe a cross???

Appears to be at least a cross. White not usual on AGH, occasional brown but, black. White not really wanted. Her snout is a little thinner and longer, also. Mine are a defined side, this one very bellied -- even tho pregnant. At 14 months mine are about24-25" high, short legged, in 175-200# range. Plus, hair on mine is all over, except belly. Yours has a real "do" going there :p

I don't proclaim to be any kind of expert on the breed but, these are the things that differentiate mine, who are from pure AGH herds, & any I've seen of either type. The AGH tends to carry the entire length of the body BUT, but, but...we are guessing & from pictures. Either way, seems you will have more soon. :hugs:lol:
Any idea "who's my daddy?"

It will be much easier to tell when she isn't pregnant. Then you'll see if she has a pot belly or it was all baby! She really does look an awful lot like my old pot belly did. How big is she? Sorry if you said that already and I missed it. Reading on a phone is a pain!

So, I love the way you spent some of your computer time, Latestarter!! Nice pics on these sites...cute, cute piglets, too.
The last one has some very easy to compute info on all the breeds in a very consistent manner, which makes a nice comparison platform. Good job & thanks!!:clap I save them on my fav sites.

So, I'm still happy with my AGH's & they confirm what I said -- I'd take them to butcher a little sooner. Meat has been excellent, tasty. They are friendly & easily handled, do forage very well. I am not looking for the large hog at this stage of my life, another plus. When I moved them to new pasture this week, they walked along talking to me, following the bread bag & an occasional piece that was dropped for them. Will advise motherhood early Dec. What I've seen & reports from the breeders of them have been that they do well.

How big are your pigs? I'm not sure how old she is either. We bought her from someone who got her at auction. Suggestions for weight help?

I'm not sure if the standard pig weight estimator works for AGHs or potbellies since they are built so differently than other pigs! Our AGHs are 7 months old and in the 100lbs range, maybe a little over (we estimate). Full grown they won't get much bigger than 200-300lbs (about the size of a standard sized hog raised to market weight). Yours is looking much more like a potbelly now that I'm comparing photos.

Here were our AGHs in May.

Well that clears up a lot. The daddy is our other pig....who we were told is kune kune. He would be the big spotted in the left, under the pile.
We were told they were about 6 or 7 months when we bought them, make them about 9 now if seller was correct. He is super sweet and loves belly scratches.
