Hey Ya'll!!! :frow

My does are hopefully pregnant :celebrate .
Is there any behavior that they show when pregnant???
They seem to be kind- of relaxed lately.
No signs of heat, and they just seem to lie around. Not drowsy, but just relaxed!
They're not sick, they've got bright eyes and have been eating well, but they've just been kind-of relaxed...
They sit out in the sun and watch the chickens, do their normal thing, but they seem to sleep alot more!!!
I think this is o.k., right??? I guess I'm overacting, but I worry about my goats!!!

Anyway, is there anything I should expect, behavior wise??? If they are pregnant, they'd be due March 19th. :woot :pop

I love my Goats!!! :hugs
I'm praying for babies!! :weee

I'm sure no expert, it's my first goat pregnancy, too! But so far my goats haven't behaved any differently at all. They're 6 weeks away from delivery now. I kind of wish they'd chill out a bit .

At the farm I used to work at the does were a bit snotty to each other, but really sweet to people. I don't know if that's "normal" pregnant behavior though, I expect each doe is different

My does get really really sweet to me when they are pregnant. More than normal. And then of course this makes the ones that aren't pregnant mad cause the other ones are getting alot of attention. So they start following me around and begging for attention too. More than normal. LOL

My goats get rather lazy as time goes on because they are so big. They lay around more and aren't as active. They also have shorter tempers. Sis especially gets short. She butts heads with Arianna and Alana alot and they like each other out of their space it seems.

I have an Alpine doe who was in with my ND buck at the end of oct. I really wasn't expecting her to be bred because she seemed to be at the end of her heat and wasn't really standing for the buck. Haven't caught any signs of heat since then, but I also haven't paid close attention either. Now I'm beginning to wonder because she is being a COMPLETE witch to all the other goats! Just down right mean!:somad.... And that is a complete 180 from her usual sweet and loving self.
