I learned that lesson the hard way! When I first started showing I proudly marched my cute little goats into their show pens, put out feed, put out water and they wouldn't touch it! If they don't drink adequately, they don't eat right either...and a pygmy goat with an empty rumen is a mere shadow of what it should look like! I went home very disappointed from that show. :(

@frustratedearthmother we learned a lot from that little excursion-
1) none of the goats we took could ever go to a show... if someone wasn't standing right by the pen and we walked away they would go right over. Big babies - cannot be away from their mommies.
2) water- bring our own!
3) they would not eat- except Keebler crackers and then they ate half a box o_O

Another thread- but I will be pinging you all that show- we are gonna need some good advice this year from the show pro's!:)
