We buy Purina Complete Rabbit Chow from a Purina dealer when we pick up our pigeon grain. This last bag came in the green bag, but the 2 bags before this came in a pink bag supporting Breast Cancer Research.

There was a lot of dust in the pink bags. Dust meaning pellets had broken down; sort of like wood dust when sawing. There is dust in the green bags, but never as much as was in the pink bags. The pellets in the pink bags were shorter and crumblier. Not a lot of crumbles, but more than normal.

Anyone else us the Purina Complete and see this?

I normally buy Purina rabbit chow for my kids' pet rabbit...but I'll pay attention to this next time I get a bag (I'm almost out). I NEVER buy any "pink" stuff anyway on pure principle...I refuse to support any of that ACS/Susan G. Komen/etc. stuff. So now I have two reasons not to buy that rabbit food.

Thanks for the heads up.

The bags just said Breast Cancer Research. I think it was a "seasonal" thing because the the Avon 3 day walk and maybe a Susan G. Komen 2 day walk? Seems like the Susan G. Komen race takes place later in the year.

We order our pigeon grain. The other feed we buy is always there at the feed store. The pink bags were the only bags available for the last couple of months. We saw them at a feed Co-op in another county too. They are back to the green now.

The pink bags were introduced in October of 2010, so they could be that old at the oldest... maybe a little older depending on how long Purina took to bag it up originally.

Interesting. We still have the second empty pink bag and the date on it is 9-11-10. We don't have the prior bag anymore.

The pink bags were purchased 1-17-11 and 2-22-11. Everything before that was in the green bag. They both were dusty when we opened them. Probably should have returned them.
