It seems to be a girl year so far. 10 lambs and 8 are ewes.

Twin crossbred ewes born yesterday morning.

Twin Shetland girls born at 9 tonight

The Shetlands are lambing on or a day before or after their due date (most have been a day before). The Border Leicesters on the other hand are happy sitting around being fat slugs. 2 ewes were due 3 days ago and 1 was due yesterday.

Grandma Valerie only puts up with the lambs because they give her free massages.

I’m so glad you are back. I always enjoy your posts and the beautiful things you make from your sheep. The 2 new girls are quite lovely and they have a good home with you. It doesn’t surprise me that your shawl took Best of Show, it truly is a work of art.

The yarns you made are beautiful and the colored shawl is so pretty. Your talent is amazing. The angora and wool blend looks like cotton candy! I bet it is so soft. Can’t wait to see what you do with it.

Oskar, my favorite. He’s all grown up now and on the job. He sure has made a handsome dog. ❤️❤️

What a mess you had while your sister and family were gone! What a blessing you are to them! Has the pond ever flooded the driveway before?

Don’t disappear again!

No, in the 5 years I’ve lived here, it’s never flooded like that. 😕

In January and February last year, my road was flooded and I had to leave my car out on the paved road at the church. I rode my Kawasaki mule to my car. By June, I had gotten over 4 feet of rain. Then we got drought. LOL

That’s what I call a fantastic morning!!

Your black Shetland twins are adorable. Will they stay black or will they turn gray?

The bigger black one will be gray like mom. The smaller one in front is actually moorit (brown). It’s not obvious yet whether she has the gray gene which will change her from moorit to musket.

Lisle’s girl

I’ve tagged all the Border Leicester and crossbred lambs this afternoon. I can tell all the Shetlands apart easily, but the white Border Leicester girls are going to cause me problems.

We’re not supposed to have favorites, but this little rugrat is right at the top. She’s been friendly since birth and now she seeks me out and begs for attention. She’ll fall asleep in your arms if you pick her up.

P-Ewe. Despite how wide she appears, I suspect she’ll only have 1 lamb. She’s an older lady and will probably retire this year.
