It does in my book because my "herd" is 2 gelded alpacas. Unless you count the 16 chickens. They can make a lot of foot noise when they are all running for treats.My love and I are new goat farmers - that is if two make a herd

My "herd" is 2 young Nigerian dwarf goat does and 4 Ancona ducks. In the process of getting a dozen hatching eggs of the same duck breed because now that my ducks are older I'm pretty certain I have 3 drakes and 1 hen judging by the tail curl.
