Welcome to BYH Tammy! There are a number of rabbit people here though I don't know that I've read of any that had "free range" rabbits. I wonder if they would naturally go back to their hutch at night like chickens go back to their coop.

I put rabbits in a rabbit tractor during the nice weather. It’s basically a movable cage with wheels on one side. They eat the grass in one spot, fertilizing it. Then I put them away at night. Rotate them the next nice day. They love it. you have a great idea. Just make sure there is plenty of shade!
