I just want to cry, my beautiful Mini Silky Fainter buck Captain Morgan did not make it through his horn removal surgery. I know there are many views on taking the horns off an adult, but he was getting so mean with them, so dangerous to all around him that I made the decision. It was the right decision for us, but unfortunately, he didn't come out of the anesthetic. They worked on him for hours but couldn't save him. He had just become a Daddy to one buckling and one doeling so I at least have them. I just wanted to tell my story to folks who understand. Captain Morgan.jpg

I am so sorry. I completely understand the choice as we had to do the same on a doe last year. I am so sorry for your outcome.
I know it cannot replace him but having his offspring is sure a wonderful way to still have him part of your life.

I am so sorry for your loss. Do not feel guilted by the opinions of others. You were doing what was right for you and your family and just because others have different views doesn't make you wrong in yours. He looks so handsome. I hope you find some comfort in the coming days.
