Just to forewarn everyone a very high percentage of my questions, comments, etc. will be about
rabbits:p. Anyways...I have 2 Netherland dwarf rabbits that are ready to breed. The doe is about two months older than the buck (and is bigger also.) My buck went to the vet three days ago because his eye was irritated...The vet said it was going to be fine and he had just scratched it, I just have to rub eye cream on him a couple times a day. Is it safe for them to breed? Also, I know that when rabbits breed sometimes there can be some resistance from the doe and they might nip at each other...how do you know if it just isn't a good time to breed or it just isn't going to work out (like if they are just way to eggresive with each other?) I obviously don't want them to get hurt but how do I know if it is just normal fighting or something that can cause harm to either one of them?

Thank you, I did end up going ahead and breeding them and it seemed to go well...I will probably know if the breeding "took" in about 8 days :) I hope I can be expecting a bunny litter soon :)

I haven't been on much in last week due to some various dental and then mecical issues my wife is having. When the doe mounts the buck, she's generally ready to accept him next. Always take her to him never the other way around. Or use a neutral space. Hope it went well for them.
