Well, I have two eight week olds that got the thermos jug sound. This usually means death with rabbits.
So I tried more leaves. Sure enough they nibbled a little at first. This was four days ago.
I have been giving them a handful of the leaves daily. They are gaining weight back and no longer seem so full of fluid.
I butchered a third to see what the intestines looked like.
The cecum was full of fluid. Another part was full of hardened stuff I figure was poop that had gotten stuck and not passed. So I think what happened is gi stasis. The cause I do not know.
I just checked the two and they are good. No teeth grinding or anything. Gave em their leaves lol.
It does seem that when the buns are recovering they are quite choosey eaters.
I believe this stuff has saved three of my rabbits.
