Sounds like I need to get rid of all of my bucks then because they all blubber and crowd my space. :)

what is interesting is that DH can walk in there and Chester doesn't do any of those actions. I keep telling him no and keep him at a distance. The place we got him from wasn't as hands on as we are and not sure about the place before that.

We are very hands on, even our Bottle babies don't do that. They come up for loving and pets but no-no way with blubbering, pawing crowding. It leads to issues down the road... especially for big goats.
I should be able to walk in my field and them come to say hi and NOT get molested.
To each his own on what they will tolerate but I expect gentlemen bucks. Shoot even our Kikos are well mannered.
I am not a goat and even when our goats are in heat we can have their scent on us and they do nothing ... they know better.

Guess it's alot like training dogs. :hu

Crowding can just be too many goats around saying hi but that is different then them wanting to mark and even pee on you. :sick

We know alot of people that do not ever handle/touch their Standard dairy goats because they are dangerous. We have one that came to us at 2 and he is increasingly more aggressive. He is going to market within the next 2 weeks. 225 lb buck is not something to mess with when they are mean.
He started out with that whole blubber, rub, crowd... 18 months not so bad, 2 years BAD and 2 1/2 DANGEROUS.

We are hands on here as well. Our younger 3 boys are just fine, they come up say hi and then go on- even the 7 month old buck who is interested in the does. Our does crowd around us but that is in a friendly manner, they are usually looking for a pet or treat or just to be next to us- which is totally different.
