Are you calling my cattle fat?Hay belly is just a fancy way of saying that the abdomen appears larger over the winter from the intake mostly being hay. It disappears as they transition to grass.

Don't answer that @Wehner Homestead, you can't win no matter what you say.
It's gorgeous out! It's about time right? Although we'll be getting thunderstorms for the next 2 days.Nice weather we are having, no?
No! Lol
Animals with hay belly can be skinny but have huge bellies (kind of like wormy puppies/kittens) that’s why GB said it’s hard to eval their true condition based on their abundance of winter hair and their bellies.
Yep. Sunny most of the day so far though there was a bizarre clouding over and shower around 9 AM then it cleared again. 82°F today T-storm potential starts at 7 PM and goes through 1 AM Friday. Down right hot, have the windows open, cats in heaven they can come and go to the enclosed porch at will. Haven't been able to do that since last Sept. Should be about 70°F tomorrow. It's gorgeous out! It's about time right? Although we'll be getting thunderstorms for the next 2 days.
