The Next Step
You all know that I've taught herding lessons with some of my sheep. Actually have been teaching herding lessons since 1990-ish. Wellllllll, the time has come to take the next step in this adventure. No more herding lessons or instinct tests. My sheep work great for my dogs, but not so great for other dogs. Try as I might I have not been able to buy sheep that are accustom to other dogs and breeds. I don't have the volume of sheep and different dogs to make that happen with my own flock. The goal has always been to raise sheep and work my own dogs. I like taking them to the auction and having some for freezers. There are only 2 of the original sheep I started with left - both at least 12 yrs is my best guess. They've both earned retirement. So -- after 5 years here on the ranch, that time has come.

You mean I don't have to put up with those other dogs?! YEEHAA!
