Is Moses a full GP? Pretty boy.

Moses is half Maremma and half Akbash (for certain). If you saw him next to a Pyr the differences would stand out. Different head and eye shape. I took him for a Pyr too til I really looked and because Maremma and Akbash are more rare.

It will be interesting to watch him mature and see what guarding style he develops. Any experienced people are welcome to chime in.

Moses has taken up chicken killing. It’s play chasing that goes wrong. He has tried it with the mother hens but they stand their ground and he backs off. Caddo sees no benefit in stopping Moses because he consumes the unfortunate chicken as a Public Service. Smitty or Crockett would have handed Moses his arse. So I’m on chicken/ dog alert. With so few left I’m going to confine them. Probably a good idea for winter anyway. He’ll train out of it. I think he’s bored and of course a pup.

That’s Caddo. Laid back Aloha attitude and always willing to help Moses has passed several temptations with the chickens now. I installed the Bell of Shame on his collar. He pouted all afternoon and was clearly relieved when I removed it. Probably coincidence but I’ll take it. So far, so good.
