I didn’t know which forum. Not really an emergency. I have 2 nigies and 2 Nubians. In December we bought a BEAUTIFUL little Nigerian dwarf. She was 3 months pregnant. She gave birth Valentine’s Day. Her last month of pregnancy her hair got a bit bristly but not bad. Same after she had her kids. But recently her hair starter curling on her sides and now it feels like straw. No lice or mites. She has a lot of dandruff. We give her chia seeds mixed in her grain when we milk and she has free access to the Manna Pro goat minerals. She has ACV in her water. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I’m borderline embarrassed when people come over becaus she looks like she was a rescue.

Sometimes you need to change up the minerals. I’ve found that mine like eating them out of my hand. I’ve also been known to mix a punch into their feed on the milkstand occasionally if I feel like they need it and haven’t visually seen them take any in.

Could be worms or copper deficiency.

Just some other ideas that came to mind.

It could be stress. We did pull the buckling as he definitely knew his job and we didn’t want to risk getting her pregnant again. It was hard on them both. Thank you. My Nubians have bristly hair too. Thinking they need more minerals though. :\

We worm with the Molly’s herbal dewormer. (Think that’s the name) weekly.
