Hi, I'm new to this site. I live in southern California and have been trying unsuccessfully to find Berkshires and Durocs from quality breeders. I really want to raise a few and possibly keep a breeding pair. This would be for my own meat supply. Can anyone help me? I'm willing to drive as far as Arizona to buy them. Thx!

Not trying to be a wise guy, but if you're doing this for your own meat supply, why not just find a breeder local to your location. They may be of a different breed but the first few you raise will help you get your feet under you. I'm sure they'd be helpful and with four dollar gas you might be farther ahead.
