Seperating my buck

Hello Everyone, I am new to goats and new to the site. I have 3 Alpines 2 does and a buck. My question is When do I have to seperate the buck, They are about one month old now. Thanks

Welcome.

You have a few more weeks before you buck "could" be able to breed your does. He will display his ability in short order and you'll be able to tell when the time is right to separate him from the does.
When you do separate him, have you thought of having a buddy/companion for him, such as another wether? Goats are herd animals and he will be very lonely without a buddy.
Since you are new to goats, once you see the dynamics of the herd and their interactions with each other, you'll understand the need for him to have some one to share his enclosure.
Many folks will only keep a buck to breed their does and then either sell or wether him.

I acquired my buck when my does were older and I wanted them bred. He was, and still is a great animal, and I wanted to keep him without adding another goat or separating him so I had him surgically wethered after he bred the does. He now lives with the herd and any unwanted breedings are impossible.
