It has been an extraordinarily wet spring and here in the middle of July, it has rained for over a week, totaling 8-10 inches of rain and before that we had a hurricane dump 5 1/2”. The ground is saturated, wet, wet, wet.
Sheba does not like wet feet. She will play out in light rain, but quickly runs for cover when it rains.
There was a huge dead oak in the middle field that Bennett cut down 2 years ago. The stump is still huge.
It rained Wednesday, 3 1/4 inches of rain. It rains yesterday, Saturday, another half inch and it has drizzled another quarter inch today. There is mud and slop in the sheep pens. Sheba is on baby watch in the front field. Two sets of twins were born yesterday. It’s raining just enough to be miserable.
Sheba doesn’t like mud. Sheba doesn’t like slop. Sheba doesn’t like to get her dainty toes icky. I cannot figure out just why I never considered this the perfect dog house for Sheba!
