years ago when we were collecting bucks to process the semen for artificial insemination we would use a doe in heat and when the buck mounted we would deviate his penis into an artificial vagina and collect the sperm that way. after sitting here laughing at the old memories (remind me to tell youall the story of the day the water in the vjj was way to hot - picture buck throwing himself backward, screaming like a little girl and refusing to cooperate the rest of the day) i think you should find a vet and like @OneFineAcre said you need to decide if this buck is worth the cost. it may be just as cost affective to buy a new buck.

The Harrison County vet charges $70. It is worth it for us, our bucks are worth 4 figures. Plus we get reimbursed by the county for 50% of what we pay for them ONLY if they are purebred, registered and semen tested.
