Should I fence them IN a pen or OUT of the garden?

I have smooth but older siding on my house and the sheep STILL rub against it and manage to leave filth and hair along the wall.

Stucco will be like a giant brush on which to rub their little bodies and leave goat hair entangled in the little nubs of your stucco.

They also love to chew things, so if you have any phone lines or electrical wiring within reach they will have at it.

As for fencing.....cattle panels make a quick and sturdy penning solution that can be moved easier than other fencing if you feel the need to relocate your pen.

If you did use the picket fencing, which I've seen work, you should take some things into consideration.

Be sure to use unpainted and untreated paneling. When wood is treated, they often use syanide to do so and that, obviously, is toxic. You can paint the fence using a good outdoor and lead free paint.

Also, run a strand of electric fencing in between each of the gaps in the panels. It should work if you do it right.

It's funny you mentioned the goat towers. I once went to a pumpkin patch that had goats. They didn't have just some measly tower, they had an entire, collosis. It was about 40 feet tall and stretched for about 100 feet. They had all kinds of ramps and slides and other things like that. It looked like one of those funhouse jungle gym things at the fairs. Everything was fenced in, but it was totally awsome!!

Just create sure it is awesome and durable. Use many t-posts.

Goats can be a little over helpful, so the terrace would be a issue. They will climb up all over it and climb up on your awesome seats and platforms that are out there.

Goats can do harm to anything. They split the debris off of plants, so they might harm your house, too. They don't seem to be very difficult on our barn so mabey it will be okay.

What you could do is fencing off the lawn and things and then fencing the terrace off as well to keep them off of it.

Goats are just like pets, agree to that they can cause you more problems.

Another factor to consider is where you would like the waste to be. The goat's will waste everywhere.

They will also split up all of your lawn if you don't have enough of it.

I would develop them a pen with a protection that is away from the property, just to be secure and just let them out when you are house.

Be sure to provide them plenty to perform with, so they won't get tired and cause problems.
