Through the brain samples you can find out copper deficiencies more accurately than you can liver. You can see if there were any anomolies that may have contributed to a,b,c,x,y,z...
Not sure what state you are in but many state labs are really inexpensive and far more info is obtained than a field necropsy (by your regular vet) can yield.
