The two new goats sunbathing together.

Orchid is a Nigerian Dwarf that the kids got for Christmas. She's black and white.
Nim is a Saanen/LaMancha grade doe that my daughter bought with the grant she won at the Florida State Fair this month.

Orchid before her trim and in her Christmas sweater.

Orchid trimmed for the show, but we didn't trim her too close. We, um, had a little emotional time trimming her fluff!

Nim. I don't have one of her trimmed, but she doesn't really look much different as she wasn't "fluffy" anyway.

Goats in sweaters, just adorable! It's really cute with the "fluff" left on the tail! Looks kinda like a feather duster! LOL!

Yes, Orchid always gets all the attention at the fair. She is just so stinkin cute. We figure we'll have an easy time selling babies when she has them someday. She holds her own with the big goats too- though she's been smart in forming a nice alliance with Nim, the LaMancha/Sannen doeling since Nim will probably end up taller than Trixie, the herd queen.

I've told DD, she can not get ANY more goats. We're planning on Trixie kidding at the end of the year and after that they're just going to keep multiplying on their own. Of coarse, *I* don't have any goats... ;)
