Snotty Nose Ewe

Im new at raising sheep but one of my ewes has a very snotty nose. It has been quite hot lately and im unsure what is wrong with her. She looks very unwell, thin and she is getting weak. She is also coughing.. HELP!

I would start out by taking her temp., check her gum color.
If you can listen to her lungs do that
From what your saying if I hear noise in lungs I would suspect pneumonia. Treating this can be difficult without the help of a vet in order to get the correct med into her.
Hopefully someone else will chime in with some advice soon

X2 I'm thinking pneumonia or maybe even parasites? You said she's losing weight, is she still eating okay or is her appetite suppressed?

The last time I had a snotty nose sheep in hot weather it was nasal fly bots~she was sneezing, flinging snot and coughing. I researched it and the only thing recommended for it was Ivermectin, but I don't really get into that kind of stuff. I dosed with garlic juice/mother vinegar/raw honey and cleaned out the nose and applied Vicks. The symptoms were gone the next day and didn't return. I repeated the bolus dose of these items every couple of weeks during that drought period and had no recurrence.

How old is she? Is the weight loss a sudden thing? Is this illness a recent thing or has she been going downhill for a while?

Thank you everyone for responding and I think she might have pneumonia. Does anyone know any natural remedies for pneumonia??
