Hello all -
I've got a doe who's developed a sore between her front two toes, and is causing her an obvious amount of discomfort as she's limping heavily. I've only seen this once before on another goat, and the vet was out for another issue, so I had him take a look at it. He ended up cutting off the sore with a knife and saying there wasn't much else he could do.
I've cleaned out between the toes with warm soapy water, and put a good dollop of Polysporin antibiotic creme in there to try to bring down the swelling, before wrapping the foot in veterinary bandage to try and help keep it clean while it heals.
Is there anything else I can be doing? Has anyone else seen this before? It doesn't appear to be foot rot - though I'm wondering if it could be foot scald?
