Yeah winter sucks! And so does traffic! And so does working! My friend lives in Indiana and drives to our job. He says God plows Indianas roads. Lol they don't plow and get all the lake effect snow. I haven't worked since Tuesday last week. I think. Cps schools don't know if they want to open or not. Fine with me the teachers saying their not safe, but they have insurance and sick days. And they supposedly put ventilation in their classrooms. None of that on bus. No way to keep drivers safe. If course we aren't even mentioned. I don't care if we go back. Plus now it's the worst weather! They are saying Tuesday now but they still don't have an agreement. I want a better job anyway, but need some time to find something.

Ever worked as an inspector. We need 2 people, be a bit of a commute everyday until you get moved. Pays not great. 3 weeks vacation,2 weeks sick time. Off all the major holidays. Seldom gets in the teens anymore. Didn't snow 2 years straight. Does get hot in the summer. Beaches are close. No sales tax in Delaware. 2 hrs you're at the National zoo, Smithsonian, Orioles, Ravens,Eagles,Phillies, Capitals. All kinds of wildlife. No bears, big cats, rattlesnakes. Mosquitos and ticks are bad, lyme disease and heartworm can be prevented. Garden spot of America 🤣😁

You keep trying to get me to go to deleware or Maryland? I never been anywhere up there before. I was thinking more like Alabama for me. Been there before. Idk maybe come for a visit. Lol. I never been an inspector on what a line in a factory? I have class a Cdl but in Illinois. Some states just let u transfer your license over no problem. Some states dont. I am going to get forklift cert and look for a job doing that. I would drive a truck but it's hard to find job with Regular hours, single mother and all I have to take care of my kids. I know Illinois is one of the worst places, it is super expensive. Crowded and hard to find jobs. High traffic and alot of crime. But is not my goal to work for someone else the rest of my life. I'd like to do something in ag. If not as long as I have alot of land for animals gardens and orchards. Here we have orchards and farmers markets and its expensive and people buy it. Point being I know there is a market for food.I spend a fortune on food, but I try to grow as much as I can. Would have no problem with enough space, no doubt. I have practiced my homesteading skills here, and I am ready to kick it up a notch! Oh and I've studied lots of these small farmers making 100k a year off an acre. It is ambitious but I don't need 100k. I think just the peace of mind would be worth it.

And I put the comfrey salve on my doe and she didn't even flinch like with the a and d. That makes me think she felt relief. I will put more tomorrow. She is in a new cage with latches on the top. Now this is a huge doe, and early in the morning I heard a commotion in the room. She jumped and found out she can pop the top on the cage and hopped her butt out. Like a dog. And then run around the room messing with the other does. Lol. I had to put a cage on top of the cage so she can't get out cause she kept opening it. Now she's mad she gotta stay with her kits! And they won't stay in the nest box, I had to put a small cardboard box in there.

I just know the area is all. Whenever we thought about moving we always went straight to the negatives. Winters not so bad, 3 tornadoes I can remember that did any real damage in 57 years, hurricane go by but out on the ocean nothing like down south. We've lost power but not for days. We have copperheads they say, I saw one at our town zoo in a fish tank exhibit. Summer of 85 in Mississippi I saw cottonmouth 3 times an not caged. Florida has alligators. We have one in the zoo. In 84 it escaped in the creek there but got caught same day. There's sharks, I've caught some but not man-eaters. I go south I'm a Yankee. I go north " are you from Georgia". There's some rough areas but not shooting everyday. Pretty much anything will grow here. Paradise to me.
To be honest I wish everybody that has come here in the last 40 years would go back. Transplants bring baggage. Wish we had this, wish we had that. New stores open and close. Most of the good companies left. Including where I used to work.
People here are clannish Mom would say. Nosey, whose your people, where they from, oh you're a come here. My Pop lived here 70 years still they say came here from Ohio.
Maybe Alabama would be better.

Lol. They have the free state project in New Hampshire. Like I said I have never been anywhere that way. I have only been up north to Montana and all and down south to all them states. My family is all from Kentucky and Tennessee. I don't care for Kentucky. I like Northern Alabama. My dad lives just a few blocks from me, he's retired 72. He doesn't want to move, and doesn't want me to move. My house is old and falling down. Guess it wouldn't matter where I was as long as I had a nice spread. And a job I can stand. Minus miserable winter is a plus, but tornado and extreme weather events are happening everywhere. The grand solar minimum if you ever heard of it?

Drove from here to Florida then west to Grand Canyon , Las Vegas up thru Utah,Idaho to Yellowstone crossed Wyoming to Nebraska half way across headed south to Kansas caught Rt70 back to Pennsylvania turned south to MD. Three week ride on our honeymoon. Flew to Connecticut, Colorado, Salt Lake, Amarillo, Long Island N.Y for work trips. Ohio, Tennessee, for weddings. All over Pa, Virginia,West Va, N.Carolina. Milwaukee when I was at Great Lakes. Colombia, Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, Venezuela, Trinidad, Bermuda, Panama,Spain, Italy, Jamaica, St.Thomas , Puerto Rico, Egypt and Nassau in the Bahamas. Crossed the border to Juarez Mexico for about an hour. If I spoke good spanish I would probably have moved to Valparaiso or Antofagasta cities in Chile. Nicest people I ever met. The whole middle part of the country was great. Up north is desert down south to cold. In the 80's 10 grand US would buy a really nice home. But their govt was a mess back then. Police were scary. Open a McDonald's back then I'd be Bill Gates by now. That and import Marlboro cigarettes. I'd be on my yacht right now. Instead I worked 5 hrs ot this am and need a nap.

A+D ointment true story. Dummy my son gets a huge tattoo on his arm. Buys A+D ointment. Puts in his pocket. We all work, take turns doing laundry. Last night I empty the dryer guess what I find. Entire brand new hardly used tube super clean and totally empty. Did you know A+D will stain clothes. Had to rerun the load soaked it in cold water with Dawn. Seems ok this morning.
Weather man called for rain turning to snow before 8 am. Still raining and 41. Supposed to get really cold tonight and have ice in the a.m. Yea Winter.

Yeah someone rubbed some on my new curtains, when they were new. Big old ugly grease stains on my curtains which are dusty rose, the stains are an attractive black smudge. You been everywhere. The does hocks don't really look better. She is in a smaller cage with solid floor. Her kits are driving her nuts. Sold all my rabbits except one supposed to tomorrow. One I sold twice. Lol. Guy buys rabbit for his kids. Later he says his wife says no pets. He brings it back, says I keep money. His kids were crying. I found some champagnes about 2 hours away in Indiana. A breeder with pedigrees. 50 a piece. Ouch. I may go get them this week. Don't know when I go back to work. I think maybe Thursday. Really cold here. My cages outside close to ground the waters froze. The one thats up high didn't freeze. That's a good lesson for cage building 101. I gotta build me some cages. Nice cages with that 200.00 wire I have sitting in the room. Am I stupid for wanting champagnes when ppl don't really buy them fast for pets? They are so calm and nice. I love my rexs but I swear they love to bite. And this pair I have born in November is growing soooo slow. They way smaller then my champagne kits born in December. At some point I want to butcher rabbits. For us and my dogs.
