We had our first frost this morning but it was a slushy type that didn't seem really frozen. Teresa was putting out some feed for the ewes this afternoon and our yearling ram (Jack) wasn't smart enough to move out of the way of the Gator and hurt his hip, He seemed alright after a few minutes so if nothing else, he learned a lesson.

The weather has been perfect for the last several days and it's supposed to be right around 70 for the next couple of days, followed by a cold snap. Our reserve of smoked brisket is about gone so I'm going to smoke a couple of them either tomorrow or Tuesday if they are thawed out since the temp outside is about right.

We have several racks of ribs in the freezers so that will be next if we get another warm spell. It is just too hard to keep the temps up in the smoker when it is really cold.

We have a three acre paddock that I'm going to open up for the sheep but I need to move Oshi and Pete first since that paddock borders on the paddock that Oshi is in and I need at least one paddock between Oshi and the ewes even though most if not all are pregnant. When he leaves, we need to replace several sections of fence/posts and a couple gates.
