But then you will need heat! And once you get used to the cooler temperature you will want AC when the temp goes to 79 degrees! My mother lived in Bellevue which is just outside Seattle in the Pacific Northwest. Most people there actually have rudimentary gills due to the constant rain. One summer she was complaining about all her grass and shrubs drying up in the "severe drought". She had been without rain for 2 weeks and the temperature was hovering at 78 degrees! LOL

Born and bred in southern California inland valley heat so should be able to take it, other than the humidity. We will get an emergency propane generator, a portable pool, screened porch with fans and misters. And plenty of Blue Bell ice cream. LOL

We had issues with our AC yesterday. The main electric wire to it somehow got fried.
It got fixed but not having an AC for most of the day was painful.

It doesn't make sense to me how people can live with out an AC. I wish the weather would allow that here in my area.
I can't wait until I can move to where an AC isn't needed.
It's 50°F here this morning. It is in the 60s here in the hoouse. Why would I need an AC?

I lived in Tucson AZ for two years. The first year I simply died, every summer day. No AC in my VW Beetle, swamp cooler in my below ground apt.
Second year, I was still in the apt and the same 73 beetle, but I did sooooo much better in the heat!
Humans can acclimate a small percentage - more when we are young, less when we are older.
