Holy Cow - Dan the goat man and Maggie my very own goat whisperer called back! He's coming tomorrow and bringing his disbudding irons, some box, and something else... it's kind of a blur, but I shall absorb his wisdom LOL He said something about broad spectrum wormer as well! Agh I feel so relieved!!!!! YAY :) My sweet momma goat shall be happy and healthy!

Pics of the babies in their new threads ;)

Aw! They look adorable!
So glad they are close to you and can be of help.
So many great people in the goat world!

Cool how she had trips and it is all you were hoping for (except the horns). I bet the children are spending every minute with them... hard not too. :)

:thumbsup

Someone somewhere had said you may want to NOT keep the coats on the kids full time... Maybe only on the real cold nights. They need to adjust and acclimate.

Yup, the coats are off for the moment. It was 23 degrees the last couple of nights here, so I am guessing anything below freezing will be a coat night. I almost made a new dress for Bella; had to hold back (love her) But they sleep with the door closed and we are talking with the HVAC friend to set up a heater and AC - livin' the goat dream LOL

Maggie&Dan Visiting the Farm update: The momma was wormed today and one more time in two weeks. They fixed her hooves and left me all kinds of supplies! They also gave her some de-lice potion on her back and are coming back in 6 weeks to give her CD&T; same time my sweet buckling loses his "man-giblets" :) which they will also do for me! I love Maggie & Dan!!! The vet they gave me is so kind, she is coming for a home visit to be sure everything else is running smoothly. The disbudding was a beautiful thing to watch. They were clean, quick, and looked just like a solid copper ring you see on youtube! So just horns for momma Bella it is! Also, they confirmed she is a Nigerian dwarf, not a pygmy, as was told to me... so that's nice to know! LOL

They 'fell into it" too! Lookin' like you're going to have to start a journal so we can all follow along :) Truly happy for you!

So glad it is all working out for you! :thumbsup

Do you know what breed the sire was?

Alas I was told that the entire family was Pygmy goats... So according to Maggie and Dan they are thinking that the Sire may very well have been a pygmy/nigerian mix as the babies have some traits to Pygmy (their ears) but Bella was all nigerian :) Which is probably why even though she ranked a 1/2 on the scale picture thing they did she was making milk like a beast! She is my milk beast LOL

LOVE THE GOATS!!!!

A journal about my adventures with these bouncing babies?! Genius! I shall now start one :) I am loving how each day she(Momma Bella) is looking at me with a little less fear - she is just so stinkin' sweet!
