:p I joined a while ago, posted a bit, but spend most of my time over on BYC. Well... I can't live without a forum... and BYC is down for conversion....... So I came over here. Apparently I'm not alone. :woot

As you can see in my signature, I've got 12 chickens, 2 cats, 2 dogs, and 2 Jerseys. I've been raising chickens for 7 years now, and have high hopes of building a breeding pen and getting a flock of White Laced Red Cornish either this year or next. And when I get my own place I plan to get La Manchas. :)

So... Hi to everyone... And I guess I'll have to keep checking in here every once in a while now. :) But that will probably have to wait until the hassles of moving to the new BYC get settled down. I've been helping with all the testing stuff, along with several other BYCers, so I'll be helping folks get things figured out if they need it. :)

:welcome from another temporary defector! I really find the familiar look of this site soothing after all the "busyness" of the new BYC look. Making my eyes hurt! And after all that, we still don't have any more cool smilies! :ya :bun :frow

Ha!! Sometimes, less is more.

I know what you mean, I am all for simplicity too.

We had a 4,000 sq. ft. house on the lake, 2 story with big porches, etc.

We sold it, built an 1,800 sq. ft. one level here at the ranch. I LIKE IT MUCH BETTER!! Not so much "stuff" to take care of, clean, dust and not to mention, heat and cool....

Sometimes LESS is MORE!
