How big of a problem are ticks for sheep? Tis the season for ticks here and we have been pulling them off the people and dogs and now the sheep. Yesterday i pulled 4 off the lamb! We have chickens to hopefully control some of the bugs but they are still mainly babies and don't travel all the way to the front of the property.... yet. I am hoping our birds (we are working on hatching some turkeys) will take care of most bugs but in the mean time how bad are ticks for sheep and should I do something about it?

I only pull ticks off my sheep when I see them and then if I can easily catch them. Otherwise I just leave them be.

Sorry, I am not much help in that area! We have nothing for ticks here (thank God!), so not sure how big of a problem they are!!

We use Equi-spot on the horses, Frontline on the dogs, and Ivermectin on the goats... haven't got to the sheep yet since they are so new. :idunno But I been picking them off myself regularly! They seem to be bad this year. :/
