I am going to my first show on Saturday! :weee I am leaving tomorrow night and am going to stay in a hotel. Am I allowed to bring my bunny in with me to the hotel? Also, will he be ok for a 4 hour car ride? He will be in his usual cage.

You'd have to ask the hotel, or sneak him in.

I have actually decided to stay at a relatives, so the hotel should not be a problem. I got him a rabbit caring cage, will he be ok in it over night?

I've kept mine in the house during the summer in carrying cages all day with food and water with no ill effects. Just keep them comfortable and I'd think they would be fine. Make sure there is a tray under the cage or your relatives won't be happy. I'd also put a plasstic trash bag under the tray that extends well past the tray incase yours, like mine, pee outside the cage and miss the tray.

:thumbsup Congrats.

I usually don't spend a lot of money on sleeping arrangements for rabbit shows since it's just a place to lay my head but I do look for pet friendly hotels/motels. Some places let pets stay for free (Motel 6 and such) so if the ones you'll be near are nice, they're a great place to stay. Others charge a fee to keep animals in your room ($10 - $100). Some of those only allow dogs and some have weight limits (a 20 lb dog for instance). So, search for places to stay that are within your price range and then ask what their pet policies are before you book a room.

If the hotel (or family members) don't allow pets then, if the evenings, nights, and mornings will be cool, and you can ventilate your car by opening windows slightly, then rabbits should be fine for an over night car stay. Cold late fall/winter and early spring weather is perfect rabbit weather. Even if I stay the night at a hotel during that time of year, I usually let the rabbits stay in the car because I know they'll be more comfortable than in a heated room.
